South Cowichan Eyecare (formerly Mill Bay Eye Care) opened its doors in February of 1997, Chemainus Family Eyecare opened in May 2000 and Lake Cowichan Eyecare had its grand opening in September 2011.

Our offices are dedicated to making your experience with us a pleasant and rewarding one. Our Optometrists provide thorough eye examinations to patients of all ages. With state-of-the-art technology, this provides our doctors with an accurate prescription of your eyes and to detect, diagnose and treat ocular health and vision problems. Our office dispensaries contain high quality, functional and stylish frames to choose from. Our Opticians are trained to help you choose appropriate frames and lenses that best suit your needs. We make the glasses on site in our South Cowichan office and can offer emergency glasses repairs. We offer contact lens services for experienced and new contact lens wearers. Our doctors determine the best lens for your eyes and our trained staff educate you on insertion/removal and lens care. We offer a large selection of contact lens solutions and cleaners at a greatly reduced price as a service to our contact lens patients. Ask us about new advances in coloured and multifocal contact lenses. We strive to help the vision of the world's less fortunate. Our doctors and staff collect old eyeglasses from the Cowichan Valley, and distribute them on various health care missions around the world. We have participated on Eye Care projects in Guatemala, Peru, the Philippines and our latest project in Nicaragua. Please feel free to donate your old glasses to our office and we will see that they are put to good use. We are constantly trying to optimize our services and improve our offices.
