Dr. Jesse Olin Peterson was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and graduated from the University of Waterloo with his Doctorate of Optometry in June of 2016. During his last year at the University of Waterloo, Jesse had the opportunity to do an internship in Salt Lake City, Utah where he worked with a wide array of specialists. The primary focus of care during his internship was Glaucoma. Although Jesse has yet to be a part of any pro bono eye care missions up to this point, he is extremely passionate about providing eye care to those in impoverished conditions in the near future.
When not in the office, it’s likely that you’ll find Jesse on the west coast of the island catching some waves. In his free time, Jesse enjoys surfing, snowboarding, camping, hiking, and anything that involves the outdoors. Jesse also enjoys playing hockey, soccer, tennis and golf. Jesse is extremely excited to be living in the Cowichan Valley and looks forward to becoming a part of the community. Dr. Peterson looks forward to serving the eye care needs of the Cowichan valley and welcomes those of all ages to stop in at any one of the locations.
